This 12 day Spain tour is a tour of history, culture and leisurely travel. A perfect mix of in-depth cultural experiences, wonderful drives through Spain’s beautiful countryside and leisurely travel to suit senior travelers. This tour includes the option of some wellness activities along the way. The tour takes in the historic Alhambra in Granada, a stunning coastal town in Málaga and the old town in Marbella. Moreover, you will visit all the major historical sights in the Spanish capital, Madrid, as well as the beautiful ancient town of Toledo. Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Spain: Arrival in Granada

On arrival at Granada Airport you will be met by your private transfer driver who will transfer you to your hotel. After you have checked into your hotel and had some refreshments, take some time to familiarise yourself with the hotel and its services. Feel free to enjoy a short stroll around the historic town center and admire the local architecture and quaint streets of this lovely Andalusian town. Dinner will be taken in a local restaurant serving local specialties and the best selection of local wines.

Day 2 – Granada: Alhambra & Generalife Gardens

Visit all of the sights of the Alhambra on this private guided tour at your own pace. The Nasrid Palaces, the Alcazaba and the lovely Generalife gardens are just a few of the many points of interest that you will see. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore the quaint Albaicín Quarter at your own pace. Admire the views from the various viewpoints and enjoy a café. In the evening take it easy and have a relaxed dinner.

Day 3 – Granada: Leisure & Exploration

Your morning schedule is open, in case you want to be part of some Wellness activities (yoga, pool time and spa treatments). Afterwards, you will take a guided walking tour of the historic neighborhoods of Granada. You will visit charming small squares and streets with lots of local artisan shops. In the evening you have the option to watch a local live music performance.

Day 4 – Welcome to Málaga

Today, you transfer to Málaga, where upon arrival you will check into your hotel. The rest of the afternoon will be free to enjoy the services of the hotel or to take a stroll around the historic center of the old town. You can enjoy an Andalusian dinner in a local restaurant in the evening.

Day 5 – Málaga: City Highlights & Museums

A Private Guided Walking Tour through the historic center of Malaga awaits you in the morning to visit the remains of the Alcazara, the Roman Theatre and the Picasso Museum. You will walk at your own pace, stopping to take in the views and to take breaks when you need to. Later on, you can choose between visiting a spa, having a coffee in a café or walking along the promenade by the sea.

Day 6 – Day Trip to Marbella

Today’s schedule includes a Private Day Trip to Marbella. You will meander around the picturesque old town and admire its unique buildings and architecture. You will take your time and enjoy a leisurely lunch of fresh seafood and in the afternoon you will visit shops or return to the beach for a few hours before taking the way back to Málaga.

Day 7 – Málaga: Leisure & Cultural Experiences

This morning is left to your personal preference. You can choose between wellness activities (extra charge) or you can join our guided cultural activities for senior travelers to discover aspects of local culture, such as cooking, artisans and historical places of interest. In the evening you are again left to your personal preference.

Day 8 – Welcome to Madrid

Today you take an early morning flight to Madrid and then a transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon you will have some free time to enjoy the local parks, familiarize yourself around the plaza or visit a local museum. In the evening you can dine as you wish or return to the hotel to relax.

Day 9 – Madrid: Royal Palace & Habsburg Quarter

Enjoy a Private walking tour of Madrid’s Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Learn about the city’s royal and historical heritage at a relaxed pace, with seating breaks as needed. The rest of your day is free to explore or do optional museum visits or exploration at a gentle pace. Evening at leisure.

Day 10 – Day Trip to Toledo

Today you will visit Toledo, exploring the Cathedral, Alcázar and Judería district at a comfortable pace. During this Day trip, you will learn about Toledo’s history as a cultural crossroads of Christian, Jewish and Islamic traditions. Your afternoon is free to enjoy scenic viewpoints or a quiet café before returning to Madrid.

Day 11 – Madrid: Prado Museum & Cultural Exploration

Your last full day in Madrid! Your morning starts with a private guided visit to the Prado Museum. In the afternoon, you can continue sightseeing, have a walk in Retiro Park or feel free to enjoy an optional wellness activity. Lastly, you will enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Spanish restaurant.

Day 12 – Departure from Madrid

After breakfast, your private driver will be waiting to transfer you to Madrid Airport for your onward journey.
