In this itinerary you can visit Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, where you can see the contrast between the old and modern city; El Calafate, where you can see the unique glacier world; Bariloche, where you can see mountains and lakes; Ushuaia, the end of the world and Iguazu Falls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. Arrive in Buenos Aires, where European grandeur meets Latin American passion. Your private transfer will take you to your hotel, allowing time to rest and reset after your journey. As the city unfolds around you, tree-lined boulevards, grand architecture and lively cafés offer a gentle introduction to Argentina’s cultural heartbeat.
Discover Buenos Aires with your private guide, beginning in San Telmo, where cobblestone streets and antique markets preserve the city’s historic charm. Continue to Recoleta, home to elegant architecture and iconic landmarks, before exploring Palermo’s creative districts filled with art, design and green spaces.
Escape the capital and journey north to Tigre, a serene network of waterways and lush islands. Cruise through the Paraná Delta or wander the traditional Puerto de Frutos market. Life here moves at a gentler rhythm, offering a peaceful contrast to the energy of Buenos Aires.
The next leg of our journey takes us to the North of Argentina, in order to visit the Iguazu Falls, surrounded by subtropical rainforest. Upon arrival at the Falls you will have time to get to your hotel and to get familiar with the surrounding area of the waterfalls. You can take a walk to get a nice view of the tri-border area of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
The Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls is incredible. The most impressive part to start with is the Devil’s Throat (the biggest waterfall) and then there are all the rest of the waterfalls. You can take long walks on elevated paths through the jungle and see all of the waterfalls from different angles. It is really impressive and every waterfall is fantastic. It is also surrounded by lots of green and there is a lot of mist.
The next day, visit the falls from the Brazilian side, from above the waterfalls and rainforest. In the afternoon return to your hotel and relax in the hotel’s surroundings taking in all the different views you experienced from three different countries.
Today, you will first travel through Patagonia north and then fly to Bariloche in the Argentine Lake District (known as Patagonia south). Bariloche is a beautiful mountain town surrounded by mountains and lakes and is known for its Swiss-style architecture.
After arriving in Bariloche, you can start to explore the area by driving the famous Circuito Chico tour. From the top of Cerro Campanario you have a great view of the lakes and the surrounding mountains. After coming back to town you visit all the chocolate shops and walk along the lake.
Take a boat trip across the waters of Nahuel Huapi Lake to Isla Victoria. Just a short walk from here is the breathtaking Arrayanes Forest, a beautiful woodland composed mainly of Cinnamon-colored trees. This is a true highlight of the Lake District of Patagonia.
Fly to El Calafate, gateway to the glaciers of Patagonia. The landscape shifts dramatically to vast steppe and turquoise waters. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the town or visit the Glaciarium Museum.
Experience the immense Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few advancing glaciers in the world. Walk along viewing platforms as massive ice walls crack and fall into the lake or take a boat for a closer encounter with this natural wonder.
Travel to El Chaltén, Argentina’s trekking capital. Begin exploring the dramatic landscapes surrounding Mount Fitz Roy, with optional hikes offering breathtaking views of glaciers, rivers and granite peaks.
Enjoy a scenic navigation across Lake Argentino, passing icebergs and glaciers in brilliant shades of blue. The stillness of the water and vastness of the landscape create a deeply immersive Patagonian experience.
Journey south to Ushuaia, the world’s southernmost city. Arrive in this remote frontier town surrounded by mountains and sea, where exploration and isolation define the atmosphere.
Sail through the Beagle Channel, where sea lions, penguins and seabirds thrive in the cold waters. Visit remote islands and the iconic Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, surrounded by dramatic southern seascapes.
Tierra del Fuego National Park is where the rainforest and the glaciers, lakes and mountains of Patagonia meet the Southern Ocean on the Beagle Channel coastline. This is a beautiful untamed stretch of southern wilderness and scenic trails to view it all from.
Back in Buenos Aires where you immerse yourselves in the exciting atmosphere of this South American capital. You get to sample local specialties and look at the city from all angles on a leisurely day.
Day at leisure in Buenos Aires. If you feel like it, you can visit Puerto Madero or to attend a gaucho show and/or to take a farewell dinner to sample the best of Argentina’s culinary traditions.
After breakfast, you depart for the airport for your return flight home. Argentina really is a diverse country with so much to see, from its glaciers to the jungle, its lakes and the cities, not to mention the waterfalls along the way.
