Today, you are part of a fascinating walking tour of Lima’s Historical Center with your expert local guide. Visit the Main Square, the Archbishop's Palace, the Municipal Palace and the Saint Francisco Monastery. Afterward, visit the Larco Museum, showcasing over 3,000 years of pre-Columbian history. The museum also features a remarkable collection of ancient gold and silver.
Fly to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. After arrival, your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy an orientation walk around Cusco’s Main Square, admiring the beautiful architecture and getting acquainted with the local culture.
Visit the impressive Sacsayhuaman Inca fortress overlooking Cusco. Continue to Pisac, a village in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Explore the archaeological site of Pisac and enjoy the breathtaking views. Stop by a community center to see traditional textile art and observe llamas and alpacas. Afterward, explore the famous Pisac Market and enjoy a traditional lunch.
Take a scenic drive to the fascinating Moray ruins, featuring circular agricultural terraces. Visit the Inca Salt Flats, where locals still harvest salt in the same way as their ancestors. After lunch, board the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying views of the changing vegetation and archaeological sites along the way.
In the early morning, visit Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Take a guided tour of this ancient site and learn about its fascinating history and architecture. After the tour, you’ll have free time to explore the site at your own pace before returning to Aguas Calientes for lunch and taking the Vistadome train back to Ollantaytambo.
