Explore the beautiful Sacred Valley and have the option to zip line across the valley on dual zip lines that cross over each other, flying side by side with your family as you take in the sensational views. No visit to Peru is complete without seeing Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Returning to Cusco, enjoy a leisurely horseback ride through the stunning mountain scenery and learn about Peru’s rich heritage at a fascinating Chocolate Workshop where you can make your own chocolates from scratch.

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Welcome to Peru! Upon your arrival at Lima Airport, your private driver will be ready to greet you and transfer you to your hotel, located just a few meters from the airport. Take the afternoon to rest and recharge, preparing for the exciting adventure that awaits you in the coming days.

Day 2: Flight to Puerto Maldonado – Amazon Rainforest

Fly to Puerto Maldonado, the entry point to the Amazon Rainforest. Transfer to your eco-lodge by boat and enjoy exploring the wildlife of the Amazon as you make your way to the lodge. Once you are there, your guide will brief you on the lodge facilities and you will be treated to a delicious dinner. In the evening, go on a guided night walk in search of some of the rainforest's nocturnal inhabitants.

Day 3: Amazon Activities of Your Choice

Choose from a variety of rainforest activities that suit your family’s interests. You can paddle around Oxbow Lake in a canoe, looking for wildlife like otters, hoatzins and caimans. Another exciting option is the canopy walk, where you’ll ascend to a 25-meter-high tower to enjoy incredible views of the rainforest. You could also visit a local farm to learn about Amazon crops or enjoy a lecture on conservation efforts in the region.

Day 4: Journey Back to Puerto Maldonado & Flight to Cusco

After a delicious breakfast, return to Puerto Maldonado by boat and car, and catch your flight to Cusco. These introductory tour guides take you on a brief stroll around Cusco’s Main Square and then return to your hotel, in order to get familiar and comfortable with the city before your longer tours begin.

Day 5: Sacsayhuaman Ruins, Llamas, Textile Work & Pisac Ruins

Today you visit the ancient Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman that overlooks the city of Cusco. Along with other archeological remains from the Inca period, it stands testament to Cusco's rich and varied history. Then, visit the beautiful village of Pisac, also situated in the heart of the Sacred Valley, famous for the remains of the Inca settlement as well as its handicrafts market. After exploring the handicrafts and shopping for local products, you return to Cusco for lunch and more time to explore this fascinating city.

Day 6: ATV in the Sacred Valley – Moray Ruins & Inca Salt Flats

Experience the Sacred Valley from an All Terrain Vehicle - ATV! Enjoy a thrilling ride through the valley with breathtaking views of the Andes. Visit the archaeological site of Moray, known for its circular terraces, then head to the Inca Salt Flats where you’ll witness the salt ponds still in use today. After a fun-filled adventure, relax at your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 7: Zip Lining in the Sacred Valley & Train to Aguas Calientes

Today’s schedule includes all kinds of fun and exciting activities. Travel by zip line over the Sacred Valley before boarding the Vistadome train bound for Aguas Calientes, a charming town at the foot of Machu Picchu. Enjoy watching the change in landscape and appreciate the gradual descent into the valley as the train descends down to this spectacular site where you will explore Machu Picchu the next day.

Day 8: Machu Picchu

Visit the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Your guide will lead you through the ancient city, sharing its fascinating history and architecture. Afterward, you’ll have free time to explore the site on your own. In the afternoon, return to Aguas Calientes and board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where your driver will take you back to Cusco.

Day 9: Horseback Riding & Chocolate Workshop

Follow trails on a horseback ride through the Andean mountains surrounding Cusco on a journey to off-the-beaten-path archeological sites. Visit forgotten ruins that haven’t seen the influx of tourists common to other areas of Peru. After a picturesque ride down to an earthy-perfect lunch location, enjoy a hands-on chocolate workshop where you can learn how cacao beans turn into decadent chocolate! Make your own masterpieces by choosing from different flavorings and fillings. These are your creations and you can take them home to enjoy!

Day 10: Flight to Lima & Farewell

Enjoy some free time in Cusco before your transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, connect with your outbound flight, taking home memories of an unforgettable family adventure in Peru.
