This 7 day tailored cultural adventure combines historical landmarks and varied landscapes. Beginning in the Peruvian capital of Lima, guests can take a day to visit the beautiful historic center before taking part in a unique culinary experience through a gastronomic food tour. Later, take to the skies as the journey moves south to Cusco, once the epicenter of the vast Inca Empire. Venturing from the midst of this ancient city, see the imposing ruins of Sacsayhuaman, the rugged backdrop of Pisac and the mesmerizing scenery and numerous pre-Incan archaeological sites located throughout the stunning landscape of the Sacred Valley. Finally, no trip to Cusco would be complete without seeing the most famous Incan relic of all: Machu Picchu.

On arrival at Lima airport you will be met by your private driver and transferred directly to your hotel. The remainder of the day is then at leisure to relax or to explore this vibrant city at your own pace.

Your exploration today starts with a walking tour through Lima’s Historical Center. Visitors will see iconic spots like the Main Square and the Archbishop’s Palace, as well as the famous Saint Francisco Monastery and its catacombs. Later in the day, get a taste of local cuisine and Pisco mixology in an unforgettable gastronomic evening at Huaca Pucllana. After dinner, experience the culinary Capital of Peru in the most trendy and bohemian district of Barranco, under the starry skies of Lima.

Today’s schedule starts in Cusco where you will meet your guide at the airport. On arrival into Cusco we include an orientation walk to view Cusco's Main Square and appreciate the many wonderful historic buildings that line the streets of Cusco. The rest of the day is at leisure to discover more of Cusco's pretty streets and attractions.

An intriguing day trip to two important locations in the Peruvian Andes, first to the remaining structures of the Sacsayhuaman fortress, with lovely views of Cusco. Furthermore, travel to Pisac in the Sacred Valley to see the archaeological site and then to hike down to the charming tourist village.

Our tour includes the option of visiting the magnificent circular terracing of Moray and the Inca Salt Flats where salt continues to be harvested today using the same ancient techniques. After lunch we will board the Vistadome train for a marvelous journey down to the charming town of Aguas Calientes, located in the foothills of Machu Picchu.

One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu is an absolute must see. Following the guided tour you can then take some more time to wonder at the site at your own pace. Later you will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch, then board the Vistadome train for the scenic ride back to Ollantaytambo. From there you will make your way back to Cusco.

Enjoy some free time in Cusco to explore at your leisure before transferring to the airport for your flight back to Lima. Upon arrival, enjoy your last moments in the capital before your outbound flight.
