Scott Kent

Scott designs and prices Japan trips personally, books them, and stays reachable while you are away.

I was born and bred in Auckland, New Zealand and have spent over 25 years living in Japan, working in the Tourism Industry.

While living in Japan, I enjoy visiting the many Temples and Shrines of Kyoto, a place I consider to be rich in history and the focal point of Japanese Buddhism.

An interest in the building of the Temples and Shrines of Kyoto and many of the Buddha Statues, especially those made from Japanese Cedar and other types of wood and which are regarded as masterpieces.

A big fan of Beer and Japanese Sake so always looking for those secret local drinking spots. Trying to find local bars or even more local outlets that serve local beers and sakes. It’s part of how I like to unwind and relax Japanese style. On occasions I even gets to visit the sake breweries and looks at their amazing traditional storage houses, sampling a few of their excellent sakes along the way.

How a trip with Scott starts

  1. 1Share the trip you have in mind. Dates, who is travelling, what matters most.
  2. 2Get a personal proposal within 48 hours. Written by Scott, not generated.
  3. 3Refine it together, then travel with someone on call.

Why a person, not a prompt

An assistant can give you ideas. A local who lives in Japan makes them real, and stays on the line while you travel.

  • 01Holds the room at a hotel they know, not one an algorithm ranked.
  • 02Knows the ferry was cancelled this morning, and what to do instead.
  • 03Answers the phone while you are away, in the same time zone as your trip.
  • 04Is responsible when something breaks. A person, with a name and a face.

Ask an assistant for ideas. Ask a local to make them real.
