Victoria Leyens

Victoria designs and prices Peru trips personally, books them, and stays reachable while you are away.

I was born (1982) in Germany, however I have no special connection to this country as I grew up in Belgium’s German-speaking region.

After five years as an attorney in the legal department of a bank in Luxembourg-City, the decision was taken to leave my job to travel. The only time I had been to Peru before was for a week during my first trip to South America.

I started this trip in Cusco and then traveled through whole South America during the following 6 months (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia). However, I always returned to Peru.

For seven months, a lower part of the Amazon Rainforest in Puerto Maldonado was my place to live and worked for organizations such as the Tambopata Natural Reserve translating for groups on tours through the Rainforest. I simply loved this country and the Rainforest so much that could share my passion with other travelers.

In Puerto Maldonado, I met Yohn with whom I traveled through whole Peru for several weeks. This trip was the basis for my project Crossing Andes.

Currently, Cusco is my base and I am a licensed official tourism guide (Guía oficial de Turismo). In addition to Spanish, German, French, English and Luxemburgish are languages I can communicate.

How a trip with Victoria starts

  1. 1Share the trip you have in mind. Dates, who is travelling, what matters most.
  2. 2Get a personal proposal within 48 hours. Written by Victoria, not generated.
  3. 3Refine it together, then travel with someone on call.
Travel outside the algorithm

Why a person, not a prompt

An assistant can give you ideas. A local who lives in Peru makes them real, and stays on the line while you travel.

  • 01Holds the room at a hotel they know, not one an algorithm ranked.
  • 02Knows the ferry was cancelled this morning, and what to do instead.
  • 03Answers the phone while you are away, in the same time zone as your trip.
  • 04Is responsible when something breaks. A person, with a name and a face.

Ask an assistant for ideas. Ask a local to make them real.
