Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best time to visit the Azores?
June to September is the best time for most travelers, with the warmest sea, the driest weather and the best hiking. July and August are the busiest months. Spring brings blue and fin whales past the islands, while October to April is quieter but rainier. Weather changes fast here, so pack a layer.
How many days do I need in the Azores?
Plan on at least seven days to explore São Miguel properly and add one more island. With 10 to 14 days you can combine three or four islands, such as Pico, Faial and Terceira. Your local expert will plan the flights and ferries between them, so you spend your time exploring, not waiting at terminals.
What are the must-see places in the Azores?
On São Miguel, don't miss the Sete Cidades crater lakes, the hot springs and cozido of Furnas and the Gorreana tea plantation. Cross to Pico for its lava-stone vineyards and the climb up Mount Pico. Add whale watching, Horta's harbor on Faial and Angra do Heroísmo on Terceira for a well-rounded trip.
How much does a trip to the Azores cost?
It depends on how long you stay, how many islands you visit, when you travel and the hotels you pick. Because every trip is built from scratch, there is no fixed package price. Share your budget and your local expert will design the trip around it, so you see the real cost before you commit.
Will I be traveling with strangers?
No. Every trip we plan is private, so it is just you and the people you choose to travel with. Your guides, drivers and transfers are yours alone, and you set the pace instead of a group schedule. Want to stay longer at a crater lake viewpoint or skip a morning hike? That is your call.
What's included in an Azores vacation package?
Because each trip is built from scratch, it depends on what you want. Our trips typically include private airport pickups, private transfers, guided tours, entrance fees and restaurant reservations. International flights, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included. Every item is listed in your proposal before you book, so there are no surprises.
Can you plan a family trip, honeymoon or senior-friendly trip?
Yes. There is no fixed tour, so we plan around who is traveling. We already design family adventures, honeymoons and senior-friendly journeys across Europe. Tell us who is coming and what matters to each of you, and your local expert will write a personal proposal within 48 hours, then refine it with you until it fits.
What happens if something goes wrong during my trip?
You have 24/7 support for the whole trip. Your local expert stays reachable while you are away, so a cancelled ferry, a sudden change in the weather or a last-minute dinner question gets sorted by someone who knows the islands and your itinerary. You are never left figuring it out on your own.
