Your Lagos trip, tailor-made by local experts

A guidebook itinerary will never suit the way you actually travel. Our Algarve-based specialists start with a blank page and fill it around the dates you have, the budget you set and the pace you enjoy. Sail into the golden sea caves of Ponta da Piedade in the quiet of the early morning. Swim at Praia do Camilo and Praia Dona Ana, follow the clifftop boardwalks as the light turns, and wander an old town of cobbled lanes, gilded churches and five centuries of seafaring history. Living on this coast is the difference: our skippers grew up sailing it, our hotels sit above the coves rather than behind them, our dinner tables are the ones friends save for friends, and we know the right hour for every beach. Transfers, tickets and reservations are handled long before you land, and your expert stays on the phone with you until you fly home. Lagos is yours to enjoy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is there to do in Lagos, Portugal?
Sail or kayak into the sea caves at Ponta da Piedade, swim at Praia do Camilo and Praia Dona Ana, and follow the clifftop boardwalks. In town, visit the gilded Igreja de Santo António and the old slave market. Many travelers add a day at Sagres or the Benagil cave.
Is Lagos worth visiting?
Absolutely. The cliffs and grottos here are the most spectacular on the Algarve coast, and Lagos itself remains a working town rather than a resort strip. Its shops, markets and family kitchens stay open through winter, so there is always somewhere to go once the beach day ends.
What is the best month to visit Lagos?
Aim for May, June or September. May averages a comfortable 22°C (72°F) and September around 27°C (81°F), with plenty of space on the coves. Midsummer reaches 29 to 33°C (84 to 91°F) and every beach fills. Do bring a wetsuit if you plan long swims: the Atlantic peaks near 21°C (70°F).
How many days do I need in Lagos?
Two full days is the minimum, though three to five suits the town better. That allows a morning on the water, the cove beaches, the old town, and a drive out to Sagres or Silves castle. Your local expert arranges the order around tides, swell and the best light.
What's included in a Lagos vacation package?
You choose what goes in and what stays out. A typical trip covers the drive from Faro airport, a private boat or kayak into the grottos, a guided morning through the old town, beach transfers, and reservations at restaurants that fill weeks ahead. Flights, insurance and personal spending are separate.
Will I be traveling with strangers?
Never. The usual grotto trip here means a fixed departure on a catamaran with forty other passengers and a hull too wide for the caves. Yours is a small private boat, at the hour you choose, with a skipper who reads that morning's swell and turns back only when you are ready.
Can you plan a family trip, honeymoon or senior-friendly trip?
Of course, and in Lagos that decides which beach suits you. Families tend to prefer Meia Praia, wide and flat with easy access. Couples get the cliffs at golden hour with a boat to themselves. Where stairs are difficult, we leave out Camilo's long staircase and choose a gentler cove.
What happens if something goes wrong during my trip?
Your Algarve expert answers day or night, for as long as you are here. A swell that cancels the morning boat, a beach car park full before ten, a restaurant that mislays your booking: each is solved within minutes, because the skippers and owners involved are people we work with every week.
